Darryl is close to finishing a new CD project which should be released in the Spring of 2012. Be on the lookout.
Word, Blood, & Power, the group that Darryl was a member will reunite to perform at the Green Dynasty Weekend the last weekend of August to honor deceased former member Michael Green and the scholarship in his name. Willie Norwood of Brandy and Ray J also performed at this event.
Word, Blood, and Power, the group that Darryl is an original member of has recently reunited to record 3 tracks for an upcoming CD release. The group did extensive touring in the 80's and has come together to work on this project. Playing with this group of individuals has been the greatest, most artistically liberating experience that any of us have every had, and probably will ever have, states Darryl. We are close friends more then a band and that reflects in the music that we play. Members of WBP are Herb McMullen (keys), Earnest Walker (keys), Fred Ervin (bass and lead guitar), Jeffrey Green (sax), Dave Taylor (sax), John Madgett (lead vocalist), and Darryl Alexander (drums, percussion). Original member Michael Green (drums, percussion)is deceased.
